First birthdays are all about getting together with family, friends and all their “little ones”. We couldn’t afford to fly everyone out to San Diego, so we came home to celebrate. It was much easier on the wallet that way.
It was close to Independence Day, so we stuck with the theme and threw Sayer a “Stars and Stripes” Birthday Party!

The three of us recently went back to our hometown of Tallmadge, Ohio to visit family and friends… and to celebrate some birthdays.
One of those birthdays was for Poppi (Sayer’s grandpa). His actual birthday is July 4th, but we celebrated a couple days earlier.
It was great to see Sayer playing with his grandparents, aunt/uncle and his cousins. Something he’s rarely able to do….

It’s always nice when a company likes your kid enough to book him for another photo shoot. Sayer was six months old the first time he shot with Munchkin, a popular line of children’s products. I actually was having surgery at the time, so my mom and dad (grandma and papa) took Sayer to the photo shoot for me. So, I guess it was time for a do-over.
This time, Sayer was chosen to be the face of their Inflatable Duck Safety Tub. It’s an inflatable bath tub that changes color so you’ll know when the water is too hot or too cold.
I just love the crew at Munchkin. They have a baby wrangler AND someone who entertains the babies and makes the smile for the camera. They had everything handled… so I did some shooting of my own.
